Fall - culinary highlights and sports activities

The traditional “Törggelen”, the driving down of cattle and other local events, combined with hiking and sporting activities, guarantee an unforgettable fall holiday in the Dolomites

The golden fall is the ideal season to discover South Tyrol and to go on numerous hikes. One of the most enjoyable hikes is the historic Post Trail (Sentiero delle Poste). This path leads directly from our farm to Ortisei through forests and meadows, with an imposing view of the Sella mountain range and the Sassolungo. In fall, the Post Trail is particularly beautiful and offers the best opportunity to observe the intense fall colours. Other paths, such as the Chestnut Trails (Sentieri delle Castagne) and high-mountain hikes offer breathtaking views of the mountains and lead through vineyards and chestnut groves. When nature becomes a blaze of colour, wine taverns invite you to take part in the traditional "Törggelen". After a leisurely walk, South Tyrolean farmhouse cuisine can be enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere: here, barley soup and chestnuts are a must. In addition, the large driving down of the decorated cattle from the pastures takes place – a cheerful party with music and local delicacies is waiting for you!
